A creature your chat raises live. Every viewer can make it react.

LiveGotchi puts a pixel creature on your OBS overlay. It hatches during your stream, grows with your hours on air, and reacts to what happens in chat: a first message, an emote spam, a sub, a raid. Neglect it too long and it gets sick.

100 free credits when you sign up: enough to hatch several creatures.

A demo running in your browser on the game's engine: the chat and the events are simulated. On your overlay, the webcam and the alert box are your real OBS sources, and the creature is the one you hatched.

What your chat can do

Every viewer can make it react

No commands to learn, no tutorial: chat does what it already does, and the creature answers. A few moments you'll see on a stream:

A lurker sends their first message

It notices and smiles. A meeting, not just another message.

Chat spams emotes

It gets hyped and starts dancing.

A new follow

It jumps for joy.

A sub, or gifted subs

Heart eyes: it falls in love. Gifts make it dance.

Bits

It bounces, hyped. The more there are, the more it feeds.

A raid comes in

Party time: it dances to welcome everyone.

A hype train

Proud as ever, it dances at every level.

Channel points, a poll, a prediction

It spins around. Create a “Feed the creature” reward: your chat feeds it without paying a thing.

And that's not all. A command like !feed makes it jump. A timeout makes it angry, a ban scares it. And every egg has its own triggers: emojis and words picked by its creator, for your chat to discover on air.

On your stream

Your community's creature

Not an overlay gadget looping forever: a creature that hatches in front of your chat, grows with it, and wastes away if everyone forgets it.

It walks on your sources

Your webcam, the chat box, the alert box become its platforms. Move a source in OBS: it moves along.

It grows with your hours live

Messages, follows, subs, bits, raids, hype train: every event raises its health, strength, precision or mana. Its evolutions take hours on air, not one evening.

It evolves on air

The hatching and every evolution happen live, in front of everyone. What it becomes depends on the care it got: nobody knows before they see it. Clip-worthy.

It asks, your chat answers

When a stat drops, a bubble above its head says so in a second: ❤️ 💪 🎯 🔮. A call left unanswered counts as a care mistake, and it remembers.

It fights in the arena

Training, ranked, tournaments: battles replay frame by frame. A defeat costs neither the creature nor its progress.

Decorations that look like you

Floors, wallpapers, borders, decor items: drag and drop them onto the scene, and some react when chat goes wild.

Time only counts while you're live: off stream, it sleeps. Health under twenty, it gets sick; at zero for too long, it dies, for real. That's what makes every stream an appointment.

How it works

Three steps, and it lives in your stream

  1. Create your account

It is free. The beta is closed: your account is ready, and access opens in waves.

  2. Choose an egg

In the Incubator, every egg is drawn by a creator: its look, its evolutions, its powers, its reactions. Hatch it in the Nursery.

  3. Add it to OBS

The OBS script adds the source at the right size. Link Twitch with a six-letter code, and it also hears follows, subs, bits, raids and hype trains.

Who it is for

Three ways to play

Streamers

An appointment your chat won't want to miss

  • A creature that only lives during your streams
  • A chat that acts instead of lurking
  • Clip-worthy moments: hatching, evolution, battle
  • A scene arranged by drag and drop

Creators

Draw an egg that others will raise

  • A pixel workshop: images, layers, palette, animations
  • An evolution tree, its powers, and the emojis that make it react
  • Or describe it to an AI, with the Creation method
  • Every sale gives you earned credits

Players

Collect, raise, trade

  • Single copies and counted copies
  • A Collection, a Nursery, a place in the arena
  • The Trading post to resell between players
  • A rating for every creation, once you have lived with it

Your 100 welcome credits pay for several eggs, not just one. Pick the one whose look you like: it will hatch on your first stream, in front of your chat, and grow on what your community gives it.

Pick your next egg: it will hatch on your next stream, and what it becomes will depend on what your chat brings it.

Questions

What people ask us

What is LiveGotchi?

LiveGotchi is a pixel creature game for Twitch streamers. The creature lives on the stream's OBS overlay: it hatches from an egg, reacts to chat, grows with hours on air, evolves stage after stage, fights in the arena, and can die if it is neglected during the stream.

What does it react to?

Chat, first of all: a first message makes it smile, an emote spam makes it dance, a command like !feed makes it jump. With Twitch linked, it also reacts to follows, subs, bits, raids, hype trains, channel points, polls and predictions. A timeout makes it angry, a ban scares it. And every egg adds its own triggers, picked by its creator.

What is a LiveGotchi egg?

An egg is a creation drawn by a player in the workshop: a creature's look, its evolution stages, its powers and its reactions. It is bought with credits in the Incubator, hatches in the Nursery, and is resold between players at the Trading post when its copies are limited.

Is it free?

Creating an account is free. Some eggs and decorations are free, others are bought with credits. Credits are available in the shop.

What do I need to install?

OBS and a browser source, which the OBS script sets up for you. obs-websocket is optional: it lets the creature walk on your sources instead of a bare floor.

Do I need to link Twitch?

No. Without linking, it already hears chat messages. Linked to Twitch with a six-letter code, it also hears follows, subs, bits, raids and hype trains. No password ever goes through LiveGotchi.

Can it really die?

Yes, only during a stream: of old age, or if its health stays at zero for too long. Off stream, it sleeps. In the arena and in tournaments, never. Only a battle to the death, accepted by both players, can put it out; the copy stays in the collection and starts again from its egg.

Can earned credits leave the game?

No. LiveGotchi has a closed in-game economy: credits, bought or earned, are spent in the game, on eggs, decorations, slots or publications.
